On the occasion of training in Korea, Park took U23 Vietnam to visit his 97-year-old mother in Sancheong district.
On the afternoon of December 19, Park Hang-seo, the U23 coaching staff and Vietnamese players visited the home of the Korean strategist in Sancheong district.
Korean reporters, fans and villagers all welcomed Park and Vietnam team. Especially, with the presence of Park’s mother Park Sun-jung, 97 years old.
After a long time, the head coach of U23 Vietnam was very thrilled. In the moment of reunion, Park Hang-seo could not hide his feeling when he shed tears and held his mother's hand.
Park Sun-jung has 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. Park Hang-seo is the youngest. Over the years, Ms. Park has been treating dysphagia and dementia in a nursing home in Sancheong district (South Korea).

According to Newsis, Park Hang-seo said, "My mother is old, my brother is not well, so I still send money fo them. Today, I bring my players to visit my hometown because they want to see where I was born. I feel so happy to be home.

According to the plan, Park and U23 Vietnam will finish the training and return to Ho Chi Minh City to continue training until January 1 or January 2, 2020, then leaving for Thailand to attend AFC U23 Championship 2020 finals.
